Winnipeg In Bloom Contest

Each year thousands of Winnipegers and businesses spend a lot of time and money to make their properties more attractive. Not only do they receive a lot of satisfaction from their planting and pruning, but it also helps to beautify Winnipeg for all residents as well as visitors from around the world.

The Winnipeg in Bloom Contest recognizes their efforts each year by giving awards to large property businesses, small property business and residential properties in each district of the city.

Judging is based upon curb appeal, front yard displays and use of colour, fencing, lawns, walkways, refuse control and other criteria. The judges are volunteers from all walks of life who view homes in the evenings and on weekends. CONGRATULATIONS from me to all of  this year's 2005 winners and a big THANK YOU to everyone who participated.
